Really kind of disturbed by CNN’s guide to the democratic presidential contenders, which doesn’t seem to follow a clear logic as to the order the candidates are presented, left to right. It’s certainly not in the order they announced: that would have placed Lieberman (Jan 13) before Gephardt (Feb 19), for one thing. Check it out yourself: it seems to go in alphabetical order… but then, wait — who are those candidates hidden by the horizontal scrollbar? Scroll to the right: why are Carol Mosely Braun and the Rev. Al Sharpton off at the end of the list there? If it’s alphabetical order, shouldn’t Braun have been the first name on the left, and only Al Sharpton there at the end, perhaps offscreen with Joe Lieberman? Braun says in her quote on the site. “Now, we’ve never had a woman, or a black or a minority president of the United States, and it’s time.” Well, CNN.com doesn’t seem to think so. Please, CNN, explain your logic here, before we start drawing our own conclusions.

Ninth Art lately has been publishing something you really can’t find anywhere: coverage of the better, smarter comics being produced, with minimal mention of the typical costumed superheroes.
