Though I’m still not quite ready to pay for one myself, one thing I like about phonecams is that you can have an idea on your walk back from lunch and publish it to the web in minutes. And their current lo-fi quality keeps the stakes low, too - you’re not going to take that Pulitzer photo, so you’re happy if you get anything nice at all. All the pictures here were taken in a five minute period within one block of my office - starting with a lunch table outside, and ending with my keyboard and desk as I went back to work. As yet, not crazy about any of the cam/phones on the market now: too big, too limited, or too awkward to use. And emailing yourself photos one at a time is ridiculous - we’ll need fully-enabled bluetooth and WLAN phones for things to really take off. But the pictures themselves: pure fun.
