Some photos from our most recent trip to Eagle Pass, Texas (and the trips to San Antonio and Mexico that always accompany one).
Saw this car outside the mall near the Charcoal Grill, with Coahuila plates (Mexico), as many have in Eagle Pass, though most aren’t this obscenely cool.
The next few photos are from the Moderno… Piedras Negras, Mexico.
Rachel’s dad turned sixty, and we celebrated with a big party - lots of tampiquena, lots of botanas, and the more adventurous, like Blanca, below, went for a house specialty, cabrito, which translates to, um… baby goat. Kid! Kid. Is “kid goat” less upsetting?
Women seriously outnumber men in this family. What am I getting into?
The first 95 miles from Eagle Pass to San Antonio, these are some of the only buildings you’ll see.
