The Wrong Gallery - even smaller

Maurizio Cattelan, Ali Subotnick and Massimiliano Gioni s new project for cerealart is a 1:6 scale model of The Wrong Gallery in NYc. The Wrong Gallery, which was founded by the trio, is the smallest gallery in the world, consisting of one square meter of exhibition space.

The 18 x 11 x 2 replica has a functioning door and electric light. It is meant to be installed on a wall in your home, similar to cattelan s tiny working elevator, now in the permanent collection at LACMA.

This limited series will debut officially at artbasel in December 2005, and is available for pre-order.

[Still don’t know the full story behind this cool new blog from our friend Regine (of We Make Money Not Art fame) — it seems to cover art and fashion with a less technological bent than what she writes about on WMMNA — but it’s rapidly become one of my favorites and a must-read. Go regine! -ts]
