Maurizio Cattelan’s latest work lasted only one day in Milan before an angry protester cut it down, falling from the tree himself in the process (firefighters then finished the job, leaving only the ropes hanging). It’s sparked furious debate in Italy today about freedom of expression: 28 pages of comments, and counting, on the Tiscali Blog (in Italian — here’s a bad Babelfish translation).
